I haven't voted yet myself.
The big downside of releasing early is that the devs are likely to get it in the neck unless it is PERFECT. The only possible "get out" might be if the community, after maturely weighing up the pros and cons (  yeah, I know...) were to decide that they were willing to accept some imperfections.In that situation the devs could be 'let off the hook'. For that to work I think there would need to be a big majority of people prepared to accept some remaining flaws.
