MoW worth buying / Still alive?
Hello everyone!
With myself being a massive strategy fan, loving WW2 games ever since the first of the Medal of Honor games I've now run into Men of War. I play games similar, like Company of Heroes. I very much enjoy strategy games like R.U.S.E, and Wargame : European Escalation which also appears to come under the same niche category. I've looked at the game, and it looks very interesting. Videos, demo etc has helped me gain a better understanding of the purpose of the game.. However some major questions still remains 1. Is there an online mode (Multiplayer) where I can find custom games, etc etc and play with others? 2. Is the community alive? (Online). Can I go online, and expect a game to be filled in matter of minutes, (and not hours) or will I have to stick to the singleplayer experience? 3. Which expansions is especially necessary? What does the individual unlock, is it required to have them all to play? Allow me to present some examples In Age of Empires 3, there was 2 expansions. You could play together if you had the final expansion, even if someone in the group lacked the second. ( You still couldn't play against someone who had the final expansion if you only had the first) You could NOT play with the original edition, against someone who had either expansions. In Company of Heroes it is possible to play with anyone, no matter which expansions you / they own. Content is limited if you do not have the desired expansions, but you can still play with your friends. So to sum up, does the expansions divide the online community? I very much thank you for your help (incase anyone answers) Thank you. - Shoga |
