We are all grateful for the communication with the team and, for those who actually understand that work on BoM does not mean that work on CloD has been shelved (We do exist. LOL), it is always nice to see developments with regards to the sequel.....

I would say the big problem is from a PR perspective. Put it this way:

Let's say you lent someone £40 and they promised they would pay you back next week..... a week passes.... you ask them were the £40 is and their reply is "Erm....ah.... I saw this brilliant program on TV the other day!"

Another week passes.... you ask them where the £40 is.

"I like cake. Cake is nice isn't it?"

A year passes.......

I have total faith in 1C and I am sure we will all have a working sim fairly soon but, it has to be said, it doesn't look too good and it is no wonder some people are getting riled about this. Is banning and/or heavy moderation really the answer? I would say it could only make matters a lot worse. Personally, if it was my decision, I would have kept the entire BoM stuff a secret...a wonderful surprise to blow our minds once CloD was working as, otherwise, it has a nasty way of looking like a switcheroo to the more suspicious out there.

I know one thing.... I am SO moving to Russia! Seems to be a holiday every time someone sneezes.

The big question is this: If, let's say, the beta patch was ready on Monday.... would it be released on Monday or would we have to wait until the following Friday due to some strange nod to tradition? Just want to know if it is worth logging in the other 6 days a week.

Tell to me how the patch and Friday updates are connected among themselves?
If the beta patch will be ready on Monday - will be released on Monday

Simple. Some people are hell-bent on spreading absurd conspiracy theories on how Maddox Games gets a kick out of letting the players wither by withholding information/the patch/fixes/new aircraft or cockpits/whatever.

I can't tell you. That's why I posed it as a question. I have known many companies, in all manner of situations, who have operated in such a fashion so I just wondered if that may be the case here. A lot of people cling to the "Friday Updates" and wonder aloud "Could it be this friday?" so I am not alone in thinking that.

Well, you and the rest of the clingers can be damn sure it isn't this friday, as he posted a thread specifically stating NOTHING THIS FRIDAY! Thus, this thread is pointless!

Are people here so sad that they have nothing better to do than post to moan that there will be no update for one week!?
