Unfortunately................the new board died! Or something catastrophic occurred after a few hours of use! Got a BSoD, Win7 reported a hardware failure on reboot, tried several times and waited patiently for the Win7 Repair to do its analysis but no joy. Re- fitted the ASUS GTX560Ti 1GB and hey presto - booted up fine and running ok!
Guess I will have to call the supplier and return it but not sure I want another now! Edit: Appears it was a driver problem. Rolled back, Re-installed - so far so good!
