Or just buy some pedals or the Extreme 3D Logitech stick (very good value). ![]() And this Hall sensor and magnet arrangement is under the metal cover in the middle: ![]() |

I use the attack3 as well, and for my rudder/throttle I have a second stick, RaiderPro, at my left side. Kind of like flying a crane, but the top hat on second stick, RaiderPro, gives me 8 more toggles switches a thumb length away, and the triggers another 2.
I find the buttons on base of stick are out of range to be of any use, and I keep sitting on the ones at the base of Attack3, so I disabled them, or have no settings. This also give me two sliders, one for ele trim on attack3, and for prop pitch, on RaiderPro. |

I have a slightly twisted setup. I was using a stock X-52 and having a grand old time. Well, something came loose in the joy sticks PS/2 port (best I can tell anyway, without tearing it apart) so this left me with a throttle but no stick. I had let a friend borrow my old Logitec Extreme 3D Pro to play RoF on his PC cause mine wouldn't run it. Needless to say, I had to take it back earlier then expected. So now, I use the X-52 throttle with the Extreme3DPro. I ended up with an extra axis out of all of this, since this stick has a slider. Now I have radiator, pitch, elev and rudder trim all on axis, which make flying sooo much easier. This is the best setup I've ever had, all thanks to a hardware malfunction, LoL!!!

if you still have the receipt most places would take it back if its less than 30 days . Kind of pointless having a joystick with no rudder control.

Agree with AndyJWest, you need to be able to use both the aileron and the rudder at the same time. Here are some alternatives:
- Use the mouse-wheel, if you use the mouse to look around - Use the keyboard left-right arrows, if your free hand is usually on the keyboard - Use two buttons on the joystick itself for left rudder and right rudder, if your free hand is on the joystick base None of those are better than a twist-stick or pedals, but you should find them all easier to implement than your idea. |

Take it back and get something with a twist rudder. Start planing your next move... Pedals, HOTAS and most importantly TIR. Good Luck!
