non DLC vs/coop with DLC = desync issues

If players play coop missions from campaign and player or players have non dlc mow vietnam and playing with people who have the dlc the players who do not have dlc will get desync error few minutes into the game every time. This is absurd and something needs to be done, I have tested this with 2 friends, yes they had no dlc and later bought it, further we also realized localization were different for non vs dlc which is clear but also there is a problem that results in desync in coop. 1C needs to ask dms about how to do dlcs properly.

It seems that problem arises when one player has Steam version and another a different one; an update will fix this (ETA - in a couple of days or earlier).

Is there any movement on a solution for this, anywhere?
My friend purchased on Steam, I downloaded from direct2drive, and we have had no success playing this game -- as we got it to play together co-op. Can anyone help us? We have reinstalled, compared folder structures, etc.
ANY HELP??
