Default Spitfire vs Bf-109 over Folkestone, new CoD youtube vid by me...

New video up! http://www.youtube.com/user/wwwDOTda.../0/E6CGViJrcRA

This was a big day for me, since I started flying online. For the first time I get a kill and manage to return and tell about it! - Ooops, I guess I just ruined the suspense there. Oh well, this mission was more luck than anything else.

I still need to improve my engine management a lot (basically get alt and speed up as well as a good deal more than 2,000rpm on the clock before engaging coarse pitch). - And perhaps also try to exhibit a bit more sang-froid in combat... - Anyway, it is a tremendous feeling to actually shoot down another player online: wauw, what a rush! - So much more to learn, though, but that's the fun, isn't it?

I have been flying the Spit quite a lot lately, but I promise there will be some other cockpits to look at in the next vids...

Enjoy this one, and as always, comments very welcome!

Cheers,
Freycinet

Maybe I can get away with just zooming bases and leaving. We sound awesome! It reminds me of the TV series Piece Of Cake when the 109 pilot chucks the bed pan out of his sliding window over the Spitfire base in France.

I actually tried leaving those messages on, but they ruin the immersion for me (in a video, not when I fly).

With regard to server messages...and Icons and HUD displays, etc...I agree that they ruin "immersion" in a Movie or Video intended as a stand-alone entertainment piece.

Please see my comments in the top-most Sticky Post in this new Sub-Forum.
I have suggested that the Term "In-Game Videos" (WYSIWYG) could categorize those videos which are straight captures of Gaming 'play', exactly as 'flown', with all aides, Icons, text chatter, server messages, etc, etc, turned on...with virtually no post-capture editing of the video.

Please provide any suggestions/comments on the matter in that Sticky thread.

Also, @Freycinet: Please check for a PM from me to you. Thanks.
