I live in the UK and have spent a while living in Kent (Dover). The original lighting is more accurate IMHO. It would be though. It was done by Oleg. Pity we only ever got to see it in full sun with no 'weather'.

The two pictures are at totally different times. What kind of comparison is that?

Ok i updated with the closest I could find, but the time frame was at least an hour or so later, the "NOW" pic was taken at 20:00 and I remember it was about 19:00 sunset on the original game, anyhow you can clearly see the absence of rich color and the blinding pink wash of the sun, some might say it looks more real but its a game, and I'd prefer it to look like a real English sunset.
I like realism but sometimes attempts at making realism can make it unrealistic. Last edited by BPickles; 11-29-2011 at 04:22 PM. |

Very true...
Its no comparison really but flying back from Le Touquet after a days golfing, the second pictures nearer the mark regarding lighting but sometimes the general murkiness of the Channel can wipe out any lighting at that time of day if my memory serves me right. ....and MG increased the haze effect a couple of patches back. I guess this is currently a 'standard day' in CoD. Maybe when the weather is working in FMB we can change it as we please.
I'd like to see a clear crisp Winter morning or a clamped in Autumn day for a Rhubarb
