Predictable CTD on ToW3: Korea
I got the Steam version of ToW3: Korea a short while back. I can play custom battles on it with no problem at all, but when I try the North Korean campaign, I get a CTD after the end of the first mission every time. There is no error message at all. The game just literally disappears and my progress isn't saved so I can't check to see if it is only that mission which causes the problem - I have to do it again.
OS: Win7 64 Processor: Intel Core i5 Graphics: NVidia G105M RAM: 4GB Does anyone else have this problem and is there a solution? Kage |

The game is not guaranteed to run on integrated graphics chipsets. I guess it runs out of video memory (because unlike after custom battle, in campaign the game must load the strategic map which needs a substantional amount of memory).
There is an option in game settings called something like 'keep strategy map in memory', try turning it on. You can also lower graphics settings that eat up video RAM (uncheck high sky detail and maybe high landscape detail). |
