Sandy Bridge or Sandy Bridge E
Hey guys ive been saving up some money to buy myself a new i7 but im stuck on which one to buy. the sandy bridge or the new sandy bridge E. i ve yet to see any benckmarks for it against the sandy bridge, ive only seem them compared against the 990x gulftown core.
if anyone has any links to any benchmarks and to any sites that know when this chip is going to be realeased as well as the projected price. Ive been looking around but cant find anything that looks plausable. Thanks |

Damn, thought this was a mod to add the missing Sandy Bridge, right between Wessex and Yolkestone.

This (p)review includes the 2600K as well as the 990x compared against the 3960x. All are at stock speeds, of course.

Unless you constantly use software designed to run on 6 cores (for Sandy Bridge E), they are pretty much the same.
