Hi He111,

To remove the information windows, hold ALT+LEFT CLICK on the window, then RIGHT CLICK on the window and select 'Close Window' from the menu. You can also alter which information is displayed, size, transparency, etc...

This is the default control (ALT+RIGHT CLICK) to select the window - it can be changed in the controls options, so if it doesn't work take a look at your control mappings.

When you go flying online you will find that at least a chat window is appropriate, but for offline, I agree, get rid.

Regards,
Sam.

The best way to make movies is recording tracks, click record in the mission options and give a name to the track file, once the mission is over go to main menu / Extras to play the saved track file.

Then capture the action with your record program, Fraps or whatever.

You can change the view camera ticking Change Views and to hide message windows while you are playing a track just tick Hide Interface and Hide Icons in the play track options.

Using this way you dont have to deal with changes in windows configurations, saving your current one.

Playing tracks is also the best way to make greats screenshots.

You can end up with several info windows layered on top of each other, repeat the process until all are closed.

point is, we BADLY need a shortcut to hide/show the whole interface in-game.

or a screenshot feature without also capturing the interface too (ie taken on the rendering buffers BEFORE adding the interface areas).

I'm with adonys on this one. I don't think it's a priority feature but it's needed functionality overall.

The reason is that if you close down all your windows you'll have to remake and reposition them from scratch the next time you want them,in fact it's currently easier to back up your ConfUser.ini before you close them and copy it back after you snap the screenshots to reinstate them.

Having a simple "HUD on/off" toggle key would be the best solution in the long run.
