This is really hard.

Personally I hate crap a/c (read: pre 1942), and I love carrier missions (from the time when they replaced the Wildcat).

To add to the period we could use a couple of French aircrafts (Dewoitine D. 520 (only 50 served during the battle of France) & Morane) and a map based on current Channel map to the north and to the east so we can simulate the battle of France. Most of the aircrafts are allready there.

If we want to go forward we should think about the British strikes into the occupied France: We should get the Whirlwind Mk. I (with the notoriously unreliable perigrine engines), the Spitfire Mk. IIb, Vb, Beaufighter Mk. Ic and Fw190A-1 and A-2 and the Bf109F-2, F-2B, F-4, F-4B.

Whirlwind Mk. I

If we are going East we need the Rata (I-16), I-153, MIG-3.

But irt would be nice if reliability issues on the aircrafts was modelled as well.

Maybe we should as for a "Reliability issue off" in the Realisme settings

Additionally to the planes we have, I would like to see

for the british side:

Fairey Fulmar,
Gloster Sea Gladiator, (Malta, Mediterranean)
RAF used
Armstrong Whitworth Whitley,
Gloster Gladiator MK.II, (France)
Handley Page Hampden,
Douglas Boston DB-7B,
Westland Lysander, (France)
Westland Whirlwind

for the french side:
Curtiss Hawk H75-1 to H75-4 (Mohawk MK.I - IV),
Dewoitine D.520,
Morane-Saulnier M.S.406,
Potez 630 Series (631, 633, 63.11),
Martin 167 Maryland,
Lioré et Olivier LeO 45,
Breguet 693,
Bloch MB.210,
Douglas Boston DB-7B

for our italian friends:
Fiat CR.32,
Fiat CR.42,
Machi C.200,
Breda Ba.65,
Savoia-Marchetti SM.79,
Savoia-Marchetti SM.81,
Cant Z.1007bis,
Cant Z.501,
Cant Z.506

and for the Luftwaffe:
Ju 34, (just for fun of flying)
Ju 52,
DFS 230,
Do 18,
Fi 156,
Hs 123

and some new versions of existing planes.

With that we could mostly cover Norway, France, BoB, Gibraltar, North Africa, Greece and Yugoslavia.
That would be from April 1940 to May 1941.

I would like to see an aircraft modelling toolkit so that 3rd parties can create aircraft but have the game engine set up so that they are approved officially and can be used in game.
Then they could be sold/licenced like the Rise of Flight model. This would be a great way to expand the sim flyables at minimal cost but higher revenue for the developers. As in Rise of Flight if you do not have the licence then you do not fly them.

I'd buy the lot.
