I reinstalled again the game, steam downloaded latest patch, drivers are the latest catalyst 11.6, ATI 6950 Windows 7 x64.

I just quote myself because after a long time today I found what do this, it's the land details, mine was at medium, changed to high and the problem solved, well, moved far... almost invisible
