I do care about updates. I don't care enough to start multiple threads and polls asking when the next update is coming.

In any case, I hope your plan to get me banned does not backfire on you.

maybe we should start an appreciation poll and see who people would like banned, me or you. But obviously you haven't been doing a great campaign lately..

My point is simple David, I really believe everybody's opinion should be respected (at least among us), and as much as I do understand your point and I don't agree with it, I respect it. What I don't tolerate is your attitude, for some reason you feel entitled to behave like you do, thinking you're better than people that whine. You don't like posts that you repute whiney? Fine, don't bother to read them or simply block the people you reckon are the cause of this issue. Your continuous childish patronising attitude won't change things just like people's whining will. The irony is that, in a way, you're a whiner yourself.

If the banjo post is any indication those polls don't carry as much weight as you seem to think they do.

Come on guys, are you seriously trying to discuss with this David dude?

A whole generation of pilots learned to treasure the Spitfire for its delightful response to aerobatic manoeuvres and its handiness as a dogfighter. Iit is odd that they had continued to esteem these qualities over those of other fighters in spite of the fact that they were of only secondary importance tactically. Thus it is doubly ironic that the Spitfire’s reputation would habitually be established by reference to archaic, non-tactical criteria.

Default Arguments, speculations, rants and generally off-topic/repetitive topics megathread

I hoped i wouldn't have to, but it sure beats handing out bans.

So, this here thread is provided for the people who want to argue with each other in an aggressive manner. That doesn't mean the forum rules don't apply to it, they very much do.

All that it means is that those inclined can pursue their favorite pass-time in this thread without dominating every other discussion on the forums, while all who are bored with such behavior can easily ignore it without having to go to the trouble of deciding who to put on their ignore list, having to judge if the poster they're about to ignore also makes valid points they might not want to miss, and so on.

This will still let those of you who want to whine and moan to each other continue doing so, while enhancing the general readability of the forum for those who are not interested in watching the "show".

Don't get offended if you see your posts here and don't take it personally. I'm an unpaid volunteer trying to keep the forum readable without having to force people to act in a certain manner or handing out bans: if they can't act reasonably on their own (and it happens to all of us at times) i'll just give them a "quarantined" area to act unreasonably in there and ONLY there, so that they won't disturb the others.

Posts from other threads that fit the criteria will be summarily moved here and after that, you are still free to continue whatever argument or bickering you might have been previously engaged in., but ONLY within the confines of this thread.
