The story I heard is that the owner of the Emil got into a pissing contest with a neighbor. The neighbor put up a large pole (on his own property) at the end of the runway. The Emil clipped the pole.

Yeah! I think it was posted in one of the Bf 109 Threads around here but does not have a own one.
