The point is: This patch does not exist.

If you update your installed CloD with Steam update, you have the most recent version. Period.

If you cannot update your installed CloD with Steam update, well, you cannot. Period again.

(All beta-patches published previously are already outdated compared to the most recent version available through steam update.)

I hope this is clear now.

Ok, again slowly:

ALL patches that one can download are beta-patches and obsolete now!

The only way to have a actual version is through steam!

If you can't get online you can't get the actual patch, which is 14821, iirc.

These are the beta-patches released to test before the official steam update (which sometimes differed slightly from the preceeding patch).

You cannot take the DVD-Version and apply all those beta patches consecutivly, because each patch relies on the previous, official steam update.

Just believe us:

You would tell it how you have an old program like that (April 8.) ?

It would be necessary to buy the program possibly. Did you buy the game? If yes, you would know that the "CD version" only installs the Steam, and from there downloads all! All patches also DL from Steam. There is not a "CD version" game.

So, the simplest solution, buy the game.

14762 is the last beta patch. It can only be installed over the official 14550 patch which is now obsolete.(so is the beta)

The latest official patch is version 14821 and is only available from Steam.Start your game and Steam will install everything needed to be up to date.

Beta patches can only be installed over the previous official patch.Since the official patches are not available except for the latest you can not install betas.

There are no d/l for official patches.Only Steam.

No need for backup as you can d/l the game anytime. It is tied to your Steam account. But there is a Steam backup that will backup your game files.

In order to install/run your game you need Steam.Even offline. There is a setting in Steam for offline play but you must have Steam installed to get to that setting.
