Hi guys,

I have just installed a GTX560Ti.

My average fps is now 28 with all settings on High, but no shadows or grass. So definately an improvement there.

Next thing will be to upgrade from 4Gb Ram to 8Gb. My Ram is DDR2-SDRAM PC2-6400

I only have two slots on the Mobo. Any pointers on good deals on 2x 4Gb sticks?

Thanks

Dunno about good deals where u are at but I suggest u try lowering Land Shadings from High to Medium. U won't notice any major difference in ground texture but will gain +5 frames on average.
Don't forget to turn off the mirror when in game and update to latest drivers if u haven't already.
Btw if u get more frames after doubling your ram then please post back cause then I'll up my ram too (don't think it will affect fps to any extent but who knows).

Wierd thing. I just went into steam and turned off the cloud. Now when I run the blackdeath track and shift-tab, the console doesn't come up to allow me to entre the fps command.

Any ideas?

Thanks for that advice. Not too sure how to o/c a cpu though. What are the risks of damaging it? extra cooling etc? It all gets a bit 'black art' for me

I'd love to try it if its fairly easy though.

If you don't know what you're doing, I recommend you better stay away from it. Of course you can always start reading in to it because the results can be very rewarding.

The basics aren't that hard but there are always risks and your system burns up faster due to electron migration. However I'm personally not that worried about burning up my system quicker because it's often outdated long before it's burned up.
