Is this card listed in supported cards list? NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS
Anyway 512 gb vram is too little for this game.

Make sure you have directx 10 set in conf.ini.
Then edit conf.ini to launch the game in really small window like 800x600 in windowed mode just for a test. It helps with unsupported or low-end cards.

When your graphics issue is sorted you will need to overclock your processor to at least 3ghz (I recommend 3.4+) to play some intense missions with many AI.

I can get acceptable frame rates with 512MB vram, at 1920*1080.

. Swore it was on the list. Figure its about time for a new one anyway.

What screen resolution you expect to play this game at?

Well, unfortunately, Im limited severly by budget constraints and will have to forgo food for a week or two to cover the cost of the new card.

Im guessing by the tone of your response Im in for a CFS1 type experience with the new card?
