Default Dont take a smoke break!

Was doing a single player quick mission last night it was the low level intercept of JU87's with a squadron of Hurries. All went well, bounced the Ju87's, got two kills and hit auto pilot to rtb. Well i decided to go have a smoke break, when i got back to my pc my Hurrie was missing one of its propeller blades and wasnt flying very well. I have no idea what happened, also all my squadron mates had gone? I took it off auto pilot and headed inland to make a forced landing. Has anyone had this happen to them, only possible thing i can think of is we had a midair.

AI is reacting anyway kind of weird in this sim. Sometimes your wingman follows you when taking off from base, sometimes he does not.
The orders menue is also useless at the moment, AI doesent listen, they do what they like.
