Unhappy Multiplayer = bad performance

I jumped online to giv CloD MP a try. Even though I get 40-50 FPS in SP, in multiplayer I get 15-20, with heavy stutters sometimes. Why is that? Is it due to the lot of objects and AA?

My first guess would be low end CPU that chokes on all the AI action but see u got enough power.
Perhaps it's about your internet connection.

I have higher fps in mp usually cause it has less AI as a rule. Maybe you just switched vsynk or AA on?

Thanks for the replies.

No vsync, but AA=4x. I went on a server with only a few AI around, no real players, and it was fairly smooth. But not on crowded servers where everyone was voulching everyone else with Archie barking hard.

I also noticed that in SP, time acceleration doesn't work like before the beta patch. It gets very choppy, then it smoothens out, then it gets choppy again.

strange...
