Default Beta Patch Feedback

Just thought a simple poll would be helpful for the developers.

Personally I have had a rather large performance drop with this one .

I'm at work for 24 hours! Arghh! Reading your post first thing I'd say is check your settings to insure you are comparing apples to apples

Everything is the same then I reduced the AA and texture from original to high but couldn't get the same FPS as pre beta patch.

for me this patch is horrible.i dont know why but this new texture loading system leads to massive stutters.although you cant call it stutters anymore, its more a slideshow with a new image every four seconds.especially when planes are flying by close, the game just freeezes.i didnt had that before the patch!first i thought i only have these massive stutters only over london again, but i have it over land everywhere and particular in dogfights(missions i made in FMB and played well before with 20-30fps average and no stutters at all).im dissapointed this time.sorry for beeing so negative.

systemspecs:
-Mainboard S1156 INTEL DH55TC,Micro-ATX,bulk
-Prozessor INTEL Core i5-650,3,2GHz,LGA1156,Dual-Core,Boxed
-2x 2GB DDR3 RAM,1333MHz,CL9,KINGSTON ValueRAM
-PCI-E 2.1 SAPPHIRE Radeon HD5570,Lite Retail,Low Profile
-Windows 7Home Premium 64Bit

You shouldn't feel so negative, you're giving the devs a good feedback. If nobody says the beta patch is worse than before than they'll think they did it right and deploy it. which is not good (its alright devs, it happens better luck next time ).

Been reading about it in the official sticker thread + here I think I won't risk installing it lol xD.

Still getting stuttering while flying over even the smallest barn or cottage in the countryside. Makes no difference whether the graphics settings are on High all round or Low all round, there's still something seriously wrong with the way buildings are being rendered/processed...whatever.

If it wasn't for this i'd rate the performance as very good.

To early to say/vote however initial impression is that the frame rate may have dropped a bit it looks "nicer" and the stuttering isnt so bad also the input control delay seems better.
Also some advances made on the interfaces in MP its a bit better now.

Look at my specs

win7 home premium 64bit
X64-based PC
intel Core 2 Quad cpu Q8300 @ 2.50GHz(4CPU)
4 Gig RAM
DX 11
NVIDIA Geforce GTS 250 (1 Gig RAM)
Saitek AV8R joystick
TrackIRv5

Now before some Troll accuses me of having a "third world" system, let me point out its my choice not to have a cutting edge machine, I find it hard to justify spending two grand every eighteen months on what is essentially a gaming machine. I have what I have and I just have to play the hand im dealt.

I find the game playable, Even with the eyecandy turned down its pretty enough, and look at the maps theyre huge.and detailed.
Looking at some peoples specs and the complaints they make about performance I have to wonder at what sort of resolutions/detail/frame rates do they expect this game to run at ?
Your eye sees at about 27fps I believe, If you run at a super high resolution things will appear to stutter as your eye tries to pick out detail. My advice would be to set your setting to get about 30-40fps turn your resolution down a bit then turn the detail up as much as your comfortable with, most combats dont take place at low level over London so gemerally you should get a reasonable game experience.
It seems to me that ppl with NVidia cards are having less issues,Its only a guess judging by posts on this forum.
Getting back to the patch now I think the most important game fix needed is the Mix/Altitude problem. If and when this is fixed I feel the game will be up to where we could have expected it to be on initial release.

I too had lost fps, until I switched to Ambisonc sound and gained an extra 25fps, seems there is something new going on with the other sound engines causing huge slowdowns
