To me it sounds like you just don't want to admit your aiming isn't too good in this game.

To me it sounds like you dont what you are talking about...
Have you even played this game?? I have watched Bf-109's roll inverted and change direction 180 degrees in under half a second! My aim?? No one can aim at that lol! If you decide to follow any of the AI planes on one of their rolling dives that would stall any human players plane you can fly straight down with them and never catch up even at full throttle.

I have been playing combat flight sims probably since before you were born, I can assure you there is nothing wrong with my aim. The best part is that after the AI does its twitchy, rolling, diving garbage and gets a certain distance from your aircraft they fly on like you were never there until you get within a certain distance again... A complete joke.

There is no element of danger flying against the AI. They are too passive and their aim is dreadful.

I love hearing all these online "ACES" talking out of their holes, "I'm better than that" sure you are Biggles.

And leave Raaid alone, he knows more about this game than most of you, and why you seem to think its ok to insult someone because of what hardware they have is beyond me ......dickbake .

They actually seem to be a little more dangerous in the official patch, then they were in the Beta. I know I used to be able to just sit behind one and dump bullets into it. But now I actually had to do some dodging and cross attacks.

Personally right now I think MP needs to take priority, especially all of the troubles the guys with Dedicated servers are having.

S'true there may be a few large egos around here, but the fact remains that something is wrong with the AI.

I think the issue would best be rephrased as;

"the enemy AI is... unrealistic"

...to say the least. Bombers flying like fighters, fighters not attacking/responding to being attacked, and generally planes flying on/over the knife edge when controlled by the AI - don't get me wrong, I want the enemies to be good - but there's good piloting and then there's "taking advantage of the system".

I think another word for it would be inconsistent - bad aim, bad reactions, yet superb use of CEM/FM - to the point that if it were a human pulling off those moves you'd instantly be shouting "HAX!!111!!11" at the screen.

e: oh, and yeah, Raaaid's alright. It's not like he's actually being offensive - he's just, erm... amusing if I'm honest. There's just no need for the "I won't suffer fools!" attitude. English isn't his first language and he's got some odd opinions is all. No harm done.

If you're so great, why are all of your posts about how you can't shoot things down? Have you set up your convergences and ammo loadings? Do you actually use a bit of patience and wait until you can get a good shot? I rarely get less than 10% hit rate in this sim and I am not very good. I can usually take down at least two AI aircraft a sortie.

Anyway, one visible problem with the AI other than the aforementioned crazy roll rates and ridiculous climbing ability (just like 1946) if you look at them in an external view it seems they have absolutely no control surface inertia. Their control surfaces can just snap from one position to another instantly. That certainly doesn't help.

Then there's the *utter* stupidity. Try loading one of the online dogfight missions on a map that has lots of hills. Odds are, the VAST majority of the AI aircraft in the mission will crash into a hill without even attempting to evade them. In one of the online missions where there are some very steep hills my flight was the only one that didn't crash uncomplainingly into terrain, and that was simply because I took control and climbed out of the way before they did so.

Actually I can shoot much more effectively now that I got the control sensitivity worked out(see my thread in the controls section). But that doesnt mean the AI isnt still completely ridiculous. Two aircraft a mission is about right, sometimes I get 3 when lucky.

This complaint has very little if nothing to do with "how hard the AI is to shoot down." The biggest problem is that the AI is literally cheating and not remotely following the laws of physics.

Of course, there are separate AI issues like when they ignore me shooting at them completely or decide to follow my plane into the ground when I'm crashing. However, I'd much prefer if the AI would not cheat first, before the devs rework their AI patterns.

This is one of the worst things about IL2 1946 and now it's even worse in CoD.

Oh and ...
