bail out ? does it work?

i was trying to bail out after getting tail blown off, and i opened the canopy and kept hitting cntrl e but nothing happend. i was level in flight as well and kept fliying level couldnt turn lol but i should have gone down like a ton of rocks, lil bit of a bug i think.

anyone else have this problem?

yeah. level flight = bug.

Bailout for messerschmitt is Jettison Canopy (default = Ctrl+J) and then ctrl+e (bailout).

Planes that have sliding canopies can be bailed out of by opening them normally.

i used the open canopy lever in the cockpit with my mouse then the ctrl e, nothing happend i will try the key to open it and see what happens thanks

have you tried it when crashed landed, i did a belly land . opened canopy and hit the control-E.....nothing happend ...am i missing some thing

Don't forget to put a chute on the pilot model (see manual) if you can bail..that would help...

On more occasions bailing didn't work. Succesfull bail..1. Failed bails include crash landings, probably they won't jump out and run away like 1946 and before.
