OK, friend is playing, and suddenly the game went from what you see on the original post to this:
Happened during flight. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/55...3E134B6590B04/ I told him to try clearing his shader cache folder, and it returned it to how the first picture looked. So draw from that what you will.
