Quite a few forums prefer 800x600 to help 56k users, however I think 1024x768 allows proper viewing of screens.
All mine are 1600x1200, reduced for viewing, however, if you are going to post larger screens it helps to place a warning along the lines of *Big Pics* or *56k warning* to prepare peeps. It might be worth asking the site mods what the prefered option is, then we have a standard to work with. There is nothing in the forum rules so at the moment its free and easy.
