Yep, we are all in the same boat and we all love the same game genre: flight simulations.
The only thing I can do, is to thank every developper who creates realistic flight simulations.
What would we do without you? (certainly not play CFS )

Good luck to all for the future!

I was actually hoping that 777 would be publishing CoD instead of UBI.. Jason is a simmer... and it would have been done right.

Class act as usual Jason.. I never understood that nonsense either... it's like comparing it's like comparing apples & oranges..

Not even aware of friction between the two camps or even if there are two camps. Have been enjoying RoF for months and have downloaded all the extras as well. Will be there for the digital download of CoD and IL-2 will never die

I don't mind apples, but I'll only eat very sweet oranges. Positively hate them when they are sour :yuk

Well said Jason, I will certainly be supporting both these sims and A10, we really need to stick together if we want to see these products fully developed.

Yes, that had crossed my mind after buying and enjoying RoF. 777 Studios have been doing a great job. With the lack of availability of hard copies of CoD at launch, the staggered release dates, steam questions, this filter business thats now emerging and the general air of chaos surrounding the launch generally it's difficult to understand what UbiSoft brings to the table with all this.

777 have shown themselves to be excellent publishers and enthusiasts. Ubi are, well Ubi.
I think they have done fairly well overall with IL2 but I can't help remembering what they did with LockOn.

That would've been an excellent move, however i assume they're still stuck with Ubi due to previous contracts/agreements.

I own ROF and all of the IL-2 series. (Also Wings of Prey).

I'll be buying CLOD when it is released in US...though I hate that particular increasingly seen acronym.

It's good to see friendly professional relations between Jason and Ilya, specifically, and the ROF Team and IL2 Team generally.

To the maximum extent possible, I set up my programmable Key and Button controls the same for both Sims, as that facilitates going back and forth between them. I only have to adjust for the different tactics and 'speed' of the two eras, WWI and WWII.

I think cross-fertilization of ideas and techniques can only improve Flight Sim products and success, and enhance profitability for all concerned. It's not a "Zero Sum" game, as they say.

It's all good!

Cockpit clicks eh...hmmm. I thought this was supposed to be a NEW sim!!!

Just kidding!
Congratulations on you release.
I am celebrating it myself (no work tomorrow) .

Take a long holiday guys. You deserve it!
Deal with any queries when (if) you get back .
