Thanks for that, indeed, some interesting stuff there. Certainly not your typical myth-perpetuating propaganda type fluff.
In relation to the upcoming game, most interesting for me was at about 17-18 minutes in when he was describing how effective the radar vectoring during the Battle of Britain was, or wasn't. And at about 39 mins when he was describing how cowardice was dealt with. Would be good to see both of those aspects of the battle incorporated into missions or campaigns in CloDo. Vectored to targets that are actually twenty miles away and that you never see, and having to deal with a fellow squad-member who repeatedly buggers off to dodge the action. Finally got around to putting this onto a video for you folks to listen to. I hear 109's with the slow thump thump of MG FF's, the fast rattle of Mg17's from the german bombers, and the chatter of Hurricanes 303's (definately hurricanes from the sound of the merlins, which are distinctly different from the merlins on spitfires) |

I know I've read a hint or two from Oleg or Luthier implying the radar vectoring will occasionally be wrong.

Thanks for that.
The first image on that sound of combat thing, Spitfire DO-K, seems to have very pronounced 'bulge' to the rear of the inner .303 on the port wing? Might be an illustion created by lighting and the angle the picture is taken but it looks like a bulge and I've never seen one like that before? |
