I don't know what I am doing wrong
Hi all,
Just started playing yesterday, and I am on the 2nd island. All the mobs are invincible. I cleared off the first island. I checked out the 3rd but nothing I can do. I am a mage on normal difficulty. Am I missing something? |

The rating tells you that their stacks are (much) larger than your stacks.
You're playing as a Mage, the hero type with the lowest leadership rating, so you will always be short on manpower. But a Mage is compensated with stronger spellcasting abilities. It's for you to figure out how to use those abilities to kill of all those invincible enemies. Search the forum for tips on army setup and how to use the spells. Or you can exploit the strenghts of certain units: (beware! this can be a game spoiler): go to the dwarf near the entrance of the cave on Bolo and buy Guard Droids and Repair Droids. Split the Repair Droids into 2 stacks. With this setup you can kill the strongest enemies without even losing units of your own. |

Heden,
The game is not so hard as it looks like. But when you start this game its best just to have some fun, and learn how the game works. 95% of all battles are won by using the rights spells and troops. So best advice is replay some battles in the beginning and try different troops and spells. Most players play a mage with 1 tank unit and a bunch of support units. Spells as Fear , Slow, Stone Skin, Magic Springs are great. Also summon Phoenix is great spell till lvl 30, But you need the lvl 2 or 3 version. Download the appendix to give you some help. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=12249 This is for Armored Princess , but works also for Crossroads. Also take a look at the following tread to learn more: This one if for the first game but most of the info still applies to al the games http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=10311 http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=15448 http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=11306 http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=11218 This should help you on the way. |

You are missing the fact this game is sequel to Kb:L and its much harder. Mage normal in Armored Princess is really hard on start for someone new and its highly not recommended for beginers. OF course not imposssible but it really requires base knowledge about game. There was a lot such threads like yours. just search and read read, you will need learn a lot if u want finish this game ^^

I had the same problem and eventually found out that some mobs rated as 'invincible' were actually really easy to beat. So save your game and try some of them.

As a mage you're going to fight a lot of invincible or lethal armies but you don't have to during the first couple of islands. Look at all enemies and try to find that is slightly stronger or even equal in strength and clear those up first to get some levels up. After that you'll find those previously invincible or lethal armies have reduced in difficulty.
