lock on problems

this has been happening to me more and more in arcade and realistic games when holding down l2 to lock on the cam wont stay locked and jumps around witch is really annoying anyone else have any problems with this is this a game glitch or maybe due to a old controler? anyone know

It might be your controller. I still have the original controller sixaxis that came with my fatty ps3, the R2 button is really sensitive, if you just lay our finger on it it turns on, and while holding it sometimes the button turns off.

I just use that controller for navigating menus while using my driving rig or flight stick, and watching movies.

p.s. I have never thrown it.

Just change the controller layout to one which uses a different button to lock on. If it works it's the button not the game.

In a 10 plus match I get it all the time. Seems to occur when three or four targets are forward (mostly in arcade where the planes move much quicker).

Yeah Mav,

I get it from time to time, but it's not a regular occurrence at least for me, but I don't think it has anything to do with target quantity, b/c I'd had it happen with only one plane in my forward view on one occasion. It actually contributed to Sweet Mystic shooting you down one time we were on the same side in a TB when I was on his 6. By the time I switched back and lined him up again, you were in flames, lol! But I got him after that though, lmao!!!
