I can't tell if it's an M or an N in the lettering?

If it's an M then it's possibly this aircraft?



It's apparently recorded as being at Dimitrijewskaja, Russia in July '42 and then possibly transfered to the MTO (Sicily?) sometime late 42 early 43

No idea if any of this helps.

EDIT: Note the fuselage band, this was moved to the rear (in line with standard eastern front markings) in the winter of 42 so it was in Russia till at least then.
Also found this : I and II gruppen re-united with III gruppe in the Mediterranean theatre in mid 1943. In March-April 1943 II/ZG 1 converted to the Bf 110 G-1 and G-2 at Monte Corvino. This was the Gruppe's base until August when it was withdrawn from Italy. It would suggest a II./ZG 1 Aircraft..
