Composite Artifacts??

I have a bunch of these items which claim to be fragments of an artefact like the barbarian shield which is part of the composite artifact "belt of the victor" How do you form these things and how do they work?

If you have all THREE pieces, then you 'use' any piece in the set, and it forms a bigger better item. You can use the big item to split it into its pieces.

ah i see, unfortunately i had 2 pieces of all 3 composite artifacts at the end of the game lol. Oh well

well me too, but I used a code to get the missing piece. I didn't play, just wanted to see its properties. Those artefacts are nice, quite powerfull.

It'd be nice if, like with sets, the game would tell us what the other pieces are. I have the Shield too, can anyone tell me what the other two pieces are? I haven't found any good manual for Crossworlds yet.
