Increasing draw distance?

I messed with some of the camera settings in the nvdd.ini (~cl_warfog, ~cl_building_lod_dist, ~r_fog, and others) and was able to get the camera working how I like it but nothing seems to affect draw distance or fog. I have a pretty decent machine & would like to see further. Plus the bloom in the fog is way too bright on my machine, can't figure out how to decrease that either.

Anyone more software savvy than me know what might I might do to change these details?
