Question Possible script errors?

Hey guys. I think these are errors in the script too, but since they don't break the game I guess most people don't care.

[1] MSF path, follow Viper all the way and you'll end up in the Solar system. When the MSF patrol stops you and you're given a choice between 3 answers, if you take #1 (split up), the MSF turns hostile against you - understandable - but Viper and your mothership hostile you as well! Obviously you can't win this - if you kill your mothership you get a game over, and since it's hostile you can't run away. I think nobody's complained before because the other two decisions work so they just pick those... and because how are you going to fix this anyway? With the MSF hostile the emperor won't talk to you, and with Viper hostile there's nobody on your team who can talk to him anyway. This decision path might as well simply force an auto gameover instead of just breaking.

[2] The optional mission to escort Alex and his transports from XT-54 to XT-41. In the third system XT-93, if you choose decision #2 (recon first, we can tell Alex to change the convoy course later), you'll find a huge bunch of pirates attacking 3 trader transports at the ambush point marked in the middle of the sector map.

If you join in and kill all the pirates, there's a short dialog where the traders ask you to take them to the nearest imperial sector but you tell them they can join your convoy when it arrives. But when Alex's convoy arrives, the trader transports still don't move. The second time I took this mission I saved them again, but this time when Alex's convoy arrived, the traders flew off to the northwest and up vertically above the sector plane. Didn't stop, just kept flying northwest and up, way past the map edge, forever (I had Greyhair escort them to see where they'd go). Meanwhile Alex's convoy visits all the waypoints and then obediently waits for you at the portal to XT-41.

There's a trader you could help earlier in XT-52 (a single ship) and this one DOES follow Alex's convoy when it arrives. It's just these traders in XT-93 which don't join Alex's convoy even though the script makes it sound like they're supposed to. I haven't seen people complain about this since you can simply ignore them and jump to XT-41 and Alex's convoy will follow you as usual. It would be nice if they followed you like the trader in XT-52 did, and rewarded you for it.

Thanks Rastix but beyond the system name I don't know what folder to look into for those mission scripts. And I may have possibly been doing something wrong because the second error didn't happen the same way when I played that mission a second time - I'll have to do additional testing to make sure.

I'll report more typos in that thread as I find them, but somebody smarter will have to report the script errors.

If your version of game is unmoded only LOGFile.txt and saves are important, nothing more.
