Will 16:9 1200x1080 monitor be OK for SOW?

I have a 1920 x1200 and I was thinking I was up the creek.

All the HDTV are 1080 - instead of 1200. Looks like 1080 may be the standard size.

Think I'll not upgrade my 24" montor for a while, unless my eyes get worse.
