Default Luthier, Oleg, DX11?

So, a DX11 GPU would be worthwhile to get for SoW_BoB?

Probably. It would be future-proof no doubt (although I have a dilemma whether to get a mega DX10 graphics card or a very good DX11 one....)

Dx11 features aren't that extensive over Dx10. Tessellation & Direct Compute..

So do I assume that a DX11 card is worthwhile, but not a major step up? Does this mean that SoW_BoB and subsequent add-on sims (like Korea?) will make use of DX11, but only minimally so?

Edit: when in question, Google. I found this: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...&postcount=171
I'll step out on a limb, (the glass is half full) and speculate that Oleg would not implement DX11 merely for minimal gain. I wonder if Oleg is timing the release of SoW with Nvidia's new Fermi cards? How's that for speculation? At any rate, DX11 is in there. Now we'll see a real battle between ATi and Nvidia; which will be better suited to run SoW_BoB in DX11?

Apparently there's currently an issue with 2D graphics, that might well be resolved in new hardware, or new drivers, but it might be worth waiting a month and seeing what happens.

This link jumps to the middle of the story where there are some graphs, there's a lot of waffle if you read the story from the beginning:

Can you interpret this article so retards can understand it? I'm not a retard. I'm just a 'tard, but I still don't know the implications of what this article is trying to say. Anyone have 2D problems such as mentioned?

I don't really know either, it's going to be fixed, it probably doesn't directly affect most games. Maybe.

well here's hoping this is not a major problem for Win7 users. I haven't heard much on this 2d issue around the web, so maybe it's much ado about nothing. Fingers crossed. I intend to use Win7-64bit as my next OS. If I keep at it, I'll have place-mat coasters from Win95 through WinXP (including the much-dreaded WinME). I wonder how many of Bill's billions were made from WinME? I wonder if I can get my money back?

Well I'll let Tom worry about the 2D issues, I'm more interested in 3D programming and gaming
