Demo Crash
Initially, the demo would flicker the screen and then do nothing.
Fix: x:\Program Files (x86)\1C Company\King's Bounty. Armored Princess Demo\data\game.ini changed from 0 to the following values (my resolution) - setf ~screenresoultionx 1920 setf ~screenresoultiony 1200 Demo now starts. After all advertising completes, the game crashes to this dialog: --------------------------- Application aborted! --------------------------- C:\work\skyfallen\tbm\BMRender\rmode.cpp(5509): DirectX call failed: -1, -1, E_FAIL (An undetermined error occurred inside the Direct3D subsystem) --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Update: Executed - DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer, no update necessary, dialog exited. Video drivers: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 195.62 Your PC currently has the latest driver installed for your GPU. No driver update is necessary at this time. Added settings to game.ini file - setf ~r_fsaa_h_sample 0 setf ~r_fsaa_v_sample 0 Allowed me to start a new game but once the game reached 100%, the same crash dialog occured. The demo is dated 4/7/2009, video drivers are a moving target, why hasn't the demo been updated?
