I rather fly against a B-17 than a host who quits the match 15 seconds before it ends. But anyway, like the previous post say, its not too much trouble if someone thats knows what they're doing occupies the bombers.

I don't use the 17 unless someone else does first. I got to use it today and had a ball!! They are tuff to bring down, but very fun trying to hold one at bay. If you have at least 3 players, one does the bombing and the other 2 protect your targets, it can be fun and challenging trying to beat it. Especially if your team has a Thunderbolt. In my opinion, it is THE fighter bomber. You can raise holy hell on enemy targets with those big bombs and rockets, and can take down enemy bombers. And do it at 300-425mph!!!

Ya gotta use the 17!! It's awesome, fun, and you earned it. I don't see it as a cheat unless there is just a few players in the game, and then it can't be stopped. No fun for anybody. At least six pilots and you're OK.

better a b-17 than an A-20. At least you can catch a b-17, roll around it and deal it some 30mm death if you have the skill. Nothing pisses me off like having to chase a too-damn-fast A-20 all the way across the map, just to get ahead of it and attack from the side. And its damn waist gunner makes it impossible to start the attack from below. So you have start the attack from above, or it turns away from you so the gunner can get you. That wastes precious time that you don't have when the bomber spawns only a few miles from the target.

And better even to have an a-20 than to crash into the damn bunker, which the last a-20 I killed did. There's always one kamikaze, every time.

Oh, you didn't get the memo? Apparently, some Imperial Japanese pilots were detailed out to the Third Reich. I've been seeing a bunch pop up. Kamikaze division, even. I see a lot in Dogfight, Team Dogfight, Capture the Airfield, and Strike. They like to run head on in to big slow bombers, or deck stationary targets on airfields! Funny thing is, they're disguising themselves by using planes that flew in the European theater. Now I'm not sure how accurate this information is, but it's been passed around that these Japanese fighters are child prodigies. Like, 12 to 15 years old. Explains their pre-pubescent voices that they might chastise you with, or their terrible grammar when they tell you that you can't fly. So yeah, watch out for them. The only way you can tell them apart is to look for the plane coming at you that's not shooting. They must line up their collision perfectly, recoil from a single round could set them off course! It's why I fly the IL-10 in just about everything. I love the plane, and the tail gunner can help deal with some of the Kamikaze Kiddies. Ha...Kami...they're a bunch of Kami's. Sorry. It's 5:30 in the morning. I am tired. I'm off to bed. Goodnight, guys. You're all amazing.

I hate kamikazis on CTA.If I do a diving strafe or bomb run on someone on the airfield and I know I can't pull out in time I will move and crash away from the opponent. It's just not cricket

i'm with you... but sometimes i hold the dive a little to long if i see someone on the deck that has plowed me under, i take that as my chance to get some payback if my dive attack fails

I guess this opens up the fact that if you hold a diving strafe deliberatly too long and crash away from opponent but your last few bullets killed him could also be kamikaze. I could have pulled round for another strafe but I knew I could kill him with guns but die anyway. I guess it's a form of kamikaze. But the main thing is you pull and crash away from him regardless of if you get gun kill or not. Problem is the guy on the deck sees you crash nearby and thinks you tried kamikaze and missed

I cannot commit suicide under any conditions. My code requires me to die fighting or save myself so I can kick more ass later, not to mention giving my opponent a possible kill. The very thought of it makes me putrid (is that a word?). It is cheating and blatantly tells all "I suck and the only way I can try to win is kamakazi". Suicide is for cowards and weak minded ass holes says I!!!!

I hate being any bomber that flys like a bomber. He-111, B17, IL4, Blenheim(what shitty name for a plane). The A20 is excellent and so is the P47. The Stukas are fun as hell to fly but those guns suck and they don't carry that oomph, but can do some damage, at least the D. Those are my 3 favorites. I can take the 17 on occasion and have fun with the guns trying to ward off attackers and the bomb load is great to unleash on bunched up targets.

I always end up on the 6 of a bomber. No matter how hard I try to BZ or get side shots. Always end up on the 6. I've got to get him before he unloads on my targets, dammit! So like Kozzm0 says, roll dip and dive to throw off his aim and fill his ass with lead!!!!!
