You make a good point about cover.. I was kinda being deliberaltey provocative tho.. It's a boring Sunday after all. I hardly ever get into a sim game and find any sort of weather other than clear or hazy..

I was pointing out to all the "come play with the real pilots" posts that in fact the real pilots are all mostly flying so low to the ground that they may as well be driving, not piloting. To call Arcade unrealistic is a little rich.

I have questions about IL-2 1946/WoP. Does the same thing happen there online and do they have a target 'padlock?' view in sim mode? The only other Sim games I've really played were the MS Combat Flight Sims 1,2 & 3 and they had that option. (I loved CFS2.. the pacific one). I'm curious as this is the first IL game I've played and was wondering if target view in sim was frowned upon by the hardcore simmers?
