Apart from the settings you did change the conf ini to run on a single core ?

Well the only other important check to make is to make sure you have enough amps on the PSU rail to run the card.

You should have a dedicated lead from the PSU that plugs directly into the graphics card, using molex break out adapters isn't good for the latest GPU's as the use high amounts of power.
