Ha. That's nice to hear. This is unreal.

Edit: I posted a topic on the dev forum if anybody wants to chime in.

I've never bitched about the patch, DLC or anything else on here, but I have to admit I'm right there with ya buddy. This sucks.

Can't really blame the devs for incorporating feedback from BoP into WoP.

No you can't, but that doesn't make it suck any less.

It does explain their lack of interaction with this community though.

I am almost willing to bet, the publisher, won't allow the cockpits to be released to consoles, for fear of WOP to take a sales hit.

They may think that some gamers think, "well WOP has ALL cockpits, so i am going to buy that game too. Since my console version of the game has incorrect or missing cockpits".

That is what i think is going on about the cockpits behind closed doors.

Thoughts?

As everyone noticed, I'm not a big fan of the whole conspiracy theories going on about the devs/publishers. I think they just wanted to focus on their next project, WoP, and haven't had/taken the time to convert the cockpits yet.
What's important is to realize that having the cockpits for PC doesn't mean they can just throw them on the Xbox. I'm no developer, and if anyone knows more about this, please correct me, but it probably takes some time. Furthermore, updates/DLC's need to be paid for to release them on consoles. As most might know, the devs had to pay for the update themselves, and they might think it's not worth the money to release a DLC.
Disclaimer: all this is speculation, just as much as any other theories around here. I'm just not as negative as others.

I thought I'd let you know the reason we were given by the Devs that the cockpits were missing (it was originally posted by them ages ago and I can't find the thread)

They said that originally the game only had the option to use the aircraft with cockpits in Multiplayer, and that at some point during the testing and QA that it was suggested that all the planes should be available. It was quite late on in the process and they didn't have enough time to complete all the 'pits and that they would be released as DLC..

Since then.. Nothing. An excuse?
