So far edal has been the toughest to beat 1 on 1 cause he hardly ever makes mistakes. I managed to down his fw190 with yak-3 but only barely, 2 deaths to 1. I had endless trouble with his mc202 because of its turn radius, finally I figured out how to beat it though it still takes maximum effort and only with a faster/better climbing plane.

Other than edal the toughest opponent I've met in kills-only scoring is maninovka, and the best shot I've seen is Cosmo79 who I don't think has posted on this forum. Dinho also has a vicious attack. I've sent links to the tournament thread to several people but not all will be able to read it unfortunately
