I'm not super technical, keep that in mind, but I'm wondering: How do you know that you're setting these properly in the config file for the hardware that you have?? I have an ATI 9600, for example. So how do I know I'm setting resolution and everything else optimally, understanding that if I have it set incorrectly, or expecting too much from my hardware, that I will either see the result, literally, and/or my fps will drop??
Right now, the game looks pretty darn good to me, and my fps are adequate, so I'm inclined to leave well enough alone, but still, you don't know what you don't know, if that makes any sense. ![]() Thanks! Coog |

If one owns a nvidia card the following changes are necessary:
TexFlags.TexEnvCombine4NV=1 TexFlags.TexEnvCombineDot3=1 TexFlags.DepthClampNV=1 TexFlags.SeparateSpecular=1 TexFlags.TextureShaderNV=1 And as i have written, thars MY settings for MY system, maybe you have to change something to make it perfect for your system. @Coog One must use trial and error. Make a backup of your conf.ini and start changing and finding the best resolution. If you understand german you might look for conf.ini in sturmowiki there is everything explained.

Now I just gotta get all of my key bindings set up lol that's a lot of stuff.
![]() Going to mess around with those config.ini settings too. The resolution helped make things look somewhat better, but the textures still look muddled/bland. My system set up: 2.4GHz Quad Core 4 GB RAM 8800 GTS 512 Vista 32bit In case anyone has any suggestions on what might work. ![]() Last edited by Windchaser; 11-05-2009 at 03:37 PM. |

Having a problem perhaps someone can help with.
My gun sight is only showing about half the sight. Haven't been able to figure out what's up. |

For all aircraft, or just German? German sights are offset and can be centered. I believe it's Shift-F1 or something similar.

I downloaded the patch and just double clicked it in my download folder and it automatically installed itself after picking the installation directory of 1946.

Robtek <S>
Thank you so much for these truly mind-boggling settings which I am now using with my Ati 4890. "Mind-boggling??" you may say, and the reply is Yes. For the first time I am no longer seeing either colourful (and unwanted) artefacts during flight, or the dreaded purple hue in the pit when near fires or firing guns, using nav-lights, etc. Did you tune these settings? If so you are a genius ![]() brando
