Haha, happened to me as well. Flew around for 15 minutes looking for him. You can see him on the map screen though, so try to point your nose towards the blue (?) square and look up and down. I didn't do anything special when I finally found him, and he thought I was an excellent pilot.. makes one wonder what the instructor's course is all about.

Yeah once he goes out of sight it is really tricky to find him again. But that, as the name implies, is really good simulator training because finding and keeping a target is what it's mostly about.

My advice would be to use the map a lot if you lose visual sight of him. And whatever you do, make sure you don't over shoot him. It will be a lot easier to reaquire him if he's in front of you (somewhere) than if you have to loop around behind him again.

And if you haven't got a flight stick, I'd recommend aviator controls so you can look around easier with the right stick.

Seraph's right. That's just about looking at the map

I failed the first time as well. During the second try, even if I was being careful I lost sight of him. I thought I would never be able to unlock sim mode (which I only want to play Arrg)

And then after 5 mins of roaming and without finding again my instructor, he finally told me that I was an excellent pilot LoOol.

But then come the big part. bombing the Truck. It's just like "is it a truck ? or is it a house".

Really when you have no experience in fly sim, this training is the longest mission of the game. lool

When he tells you there is a bogey and to go and shoot it down, I mistook him for the enemy and tried to fill him with holes! I was blasting away at him for a few minutes and I was like what the hell, this plane is super bullet proof!

Mission Conclusion - you can not shoot your instructor down!
