Default Landing speed

Hi all,
have you noticed if there is a different landing speed for each aircraft or is always the same? I ask you that because I started to play few days ago and I havent noticed any difference between Hurricane and Spit (simulation mode).

In addition I'd know how complete the mission where I need to inspect all the airfield with a touch and go. I did it but it isn't completed. Do I need to stop my aircraft on the runway and then the take off? I tried simply touching with the landing gear and give throttle again but nothing.

thank you.

Ah, that mission is a bit of a bastard in my experience. Although I only did it on arcade, I think you have to come to a complete stop, rather than do a touch and go landing like it says to do.

As for the other point, it says in a tutorial to reduce throttle to 30% on approach and chop it completely on landing. Since different planes go different speeds, it would be safe to assume that the Spitfire can land at a different speed to, say, the I-153.

Haven't noticed a big difference myself either. I think it horizontal speed isn't that important actually, although the easiest thing is to land close to stall speed. Vertical speed is more important, to avoid crashing into the ground.
For the mission you're talking about you have to stop your aircraft, and someone over the radio sais it's looking good. The description isn't good in my opinion, since you're not doing touch and go's, but full stop landings.

I find that 9/10 times I try to land the Spit, the propeller dies, and it calls it a crash. How do I avoid this?

This is probably because the propellor hits the grounds. Try to maintain a little nose-up attitude when you're just on the grounds to avoid this. Also, the crash indication when landing isn't very forgiving.

I guessed that the description was wrong.
I completed the mission with "touch and go" in the three airfields a couple of time and nothing happened. Now i 'll do it with a complete stop.

At the moment i flown just with hurricane and Spit, so i haven't noticed any difference in landing speed, I have unlocked other aircrafts but haven't tried yet.

On the "inspect all airbase's" level all i did was fly to each base and did a slow fly-by placing my target retical onto the base and buildings (not every building, just the larger ones and i completed the mission. I did land at the first base but not the others. So i assume you could just do the fly-by's.

Good luck pilot !

Although each plane does have different landing speeds, I usually land all planes around 200-240kph.

lol - I'll have to try that! I had a go on this on Sim a couple of times - if Mad Dawg's suggestion doesn't work (in which case, it's all easy ) the airfield that'll give you trouble is Lympne - the others are alright to land on, but the surface at Lympne is a bit of a mess - so get that one right first. It's the one almost directly south from spawn - still haven't landed there successfully on sim in those conditions (caved and knocked it over on arcade, will go back to it later)!

Landing speed should be between 70 and 80 mph for spit and hurricane.
Hope this help
