The Buchon in german colours is such a ugly airplane really .

Jup, the Merlin really is not a satisfying engine in this aircraft. Ugly as hell.
That aside, nice documentary, though nothing really new.

I've been reading this book. 'Best of Enemies. Britain and Germany'

Britain and Germany were close allies prior to WW1. It was envisaged that Britain and Germany would fight on the same side against France in the anticipated WW1.





King Edward VII (see photo) was a Field Marshal in the German army!
