Default All in all a nice patch...

Never forget this is only a BETA or ALFA patch it is not perfect but a game shall never be perfect. I must say many things are better now not easy, not more complicated but different, better. I tried this patch now for two days and with the exception of London low altitude flying is smoother, with less stutter. I like this patch and I hope this could help to be constructive.
Thanks to the dev. team for this great work even if it is not finished.

I agree. In 2 days 1 launcher crash. FPS wise nothing changed for me. BUT I really hope that this stability/performanceincrease is NOT bought by just deactivating features like plane weathering and other features like small caliber damagetextures PERMANENT?! Maybe Blacksix could respond here and destroy my fears and tell us that we will get all the dectivated features back with the next beta or final version of the patch?

No, it's an alpha patch for a beta patch for a beta version of a new graphics engine for a beta game.

Nobody is disputing the fact it's a alpha/beta patch or whatever. Those who are having problems are just telling the Devs it's failed for whatever reason. People may call that moaning or whatever else they like, but without this feedback there will be no results. People are obviously going to be disappointed because this alpha/beta has been built up so much to be the patch that finally makes the game playable.

All in all I would agree with the OP.

I actually have no increase in FPS at all but I can see that the game runs smoother and stutters much less.

We are hopefully seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I gained about 2 FPS for lower image quality.

Not much to like about it here, really.

I think that what this patch is most doing its crush shuttering than increase the FPS.

The CPU optimization of the graphic engine and the new textures managing brings smooth game-play at high and medium altitude, at low altitude there still work to do with grass and trees.

Overall there is a progress to the smooth game-play.

The most annoying issue in this patch is the textures manager failing to show high textures under some circumstances, it needs be improved.

image quality (blurry, blocky) is part of the new rendering process, (mapping, filtering ...)
i'am more worried about the "old bugs" soon we will see if the rework was deep enough.
