After pausing sim with external view of my plane and whatever: I can move the view around with my TrackIR, but how can I enlarge or decrease the view for better screenshots?

Pause the TrackIR, then you can rotate the camera with mouse. The camera drag and zoom is a different buttons, have to set in the 'camera" section of the controls ("hold to zoom camera" and "hold to offset camera").

My buttons for the advice above was defaulted as...
Hold middle mouse button + right mouse button while moving mouse forwards or backwards. You can also set buttons for FOV (field of view). (I think that's what it's called anyways. It zooms you in quite well if used with the advice above.)
