Default What happened to the engines?

as of latest patch, i am unable to blow an engine other than overheating it

test examples at full real settings:

109: Water temp:60 oil temp 50

8.30 pitch on take off, instant max throttle and it just keeps buzzing on the ground on 1.4 ata without problems...the manifoil pressure should have reached a number only steven hawking could pronounce.

also tried 12.00 pitch and go instant full throttle... and guess what... it only hits 2450rpm... the pistons should have been half way to the moon by the time it hits max rpm

But if i close the rad at 300kmh 9.0 pitch and 40% throttle, watertemps exceed 120 degrees, gaskets blow without fail.

Ok, it`s not just me. Yesterday I tried hard to wreck my 109s DB, but unusually I failed in that.

But i mean, when you play at full real settings... the engine with all its ups and downs should act accordingly... thats the fun of it... in a dogfight, one mistake and boom, engine dies

Only the very first prototypes had RR engines. A few of the earlier production models had Jumos if I recall correctly (B&C maybe?), but the rest all had DB engines. Autoprop came in with the Friedrich. (although some of the later Emils might have had it, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).
