If you have a Lancaster, you will also need ME-110 and JU-88 nightfighters.

Well, if I ever get to play these series:
I somehow love Russian planes over any other planes, but anyway as for Early eastern front: Mig-3, I-16 and Yak-1 although I'm a big fan of the La-5 series which entered the scene only in 1942, a total beast (as modeled in 1946, that is). Oh, and my fav of all time, the american P-39 of course... (and I do prefer it with a red star)

an Airacobra with SoW's FM and DM might be a very interesting plane to fight with !

IF, 1C would realy leave the scenario/battle based planeset, i would be dissapointed actually. Because with the so often mentioned huge work/time to make a plane flyable that would mean they would work like in old IL2 again , something for everytime, but nothing complete.
Time will tell actually !

still counting on a pure 1941/42 "Operation Taifun" scenario - MiG3 and Hs123 would be my facvorites to fly.

For me it's the Il2 series 3, have loved that plane right from day 1. I have used it for ground attack, defence and almost everything possible. It is one great plane and as others have said the Russian aircraft are excellent.

What ever 109 F that they have. Then I can get out of this manual prop pitch fight and get some zip under my butt

Strapping on an Il2 and groundpounding the living daylights out of the very well detailed mechanized units. Hope they model trucks and other vehicles with soldiers fleeing like before in Il2.
