Bessarabia from 10,000 meters.

The new visibility distance is a tremendous improvement.

I did find a frame rate sink hole on that map however. The city of Bacau sucks the life out of my video card. Odd as Odessa which is much larger runs smooth as glass.

So far things are running very well on all of the new maps.

minor flaw (1st I've spotted in hours flying around): There are a couple of buildings straddling the railway track in the town of Liptovsky Hradok (P10 Slovakia offline)

again, wonderful map - very much enjoying it

I was flying a coop tonight, and we all noticed that there weren't any train tracks that led into the wonderful train yard in Handlova on the Slovakia map. [Sector I-7] Here is a pic. I again want to thank you for all of your hard work. The new maps are fantastic.

I really like the improvements in 4.09b1m - thanks Oleg and the development team!

However, the new mg_snd_sse.dll causes my radio calls to cut off and my Inflight music tracks not to play. (Others have reported that this .dll prevents the game from starting up, but I did not experience this.) I rolled back this .dll to the 4.08m version, and now I hear all of the radio calls and Inflight music.

The only remaining sound issue I have with 4.09b1m is that I no longer hear confirmatory messages in response to VAC commands. I might roll back the other new sound .dll to cure this, but I would rather not because I like the sound improvements in 4.09b1m. Thanks for letting us test drive the beta.

I love the maps and the objects, but I recall seeing all these objects previously posted and it seemed there were more of them? Were they scaled back or will we still see them in the final. Also there was talk of a Slovak Map with no labels.

Just an FYI: one of the IL-2 single-seat winter skins has the stars painted onto the skin by default.

All objects except one barn are there:
List of Slovak and Bessarabian objects

Slovakia no names will be in the final release.
